The Peony, also known as Paeony,is a genus of deciduous flower favored by gardners worldwide. The large flower opens with a multitude of delicate petals which bloom spectacularly in a wide assortment of colors. Grown from seeds or cuttings, the plant can be found in three plant types; herbaceous plants that regrow in the spring, a tree version with woody branches and an intersectional crossbreed of the two. Known by its botanic name, Paeonia, most will know this ornamental potted-plant simply as a Peony.
