The Lily is a genus of deciduous flower favored by gardners worldwide. The large flower opens with six petals which bloom spectacularly in a wide assortment of colors, including a range of whites, yellows, oranges, pinks, reds and purples. Grown from bulbs or seeds, the herbaceous flowering plants are native to the temperate norther hemisphere. Known by its botanic name, Lilium, most will know this ornamental potted-plant simply as a Lily.
